In line with its integrated logistics approach, LKC provides shipping services through its wholly-owned subsidiary, LKC Shipping Line, a barge operator providing direct services between Port Klang and ports in Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines.

The shipping service, which was launched in 2000, has since then expanded into other areas of operations. Its services now include:

• Barging of local and transshipment containers in the paper trade.
• Transportation of coal from Indonesia to Lumut Port.
• Transportation of gypsum in breakbulk form from Kantang (Thailand) to Port Klang.
• Barge charter to Vietnam, the Philippines and Thailand.
• Transportation of marble chips from Lumut to Indonesia.
  

LKC Shipping Line which also operates as a main line operator between Indonesian ports and Port Klang, has a container fleet of 1015 TEU to cater to the Malaysian market which are mainly of raw materials and finished paper products.

LKC’s jetty services is yet another of its total service approach aimed at providing cost-effective convenience for its customers.Our jetty facilities offers one-stop centre convenience for customers by providing ample storage, handling equipment experience and expertise from our proven project team.Another plus factor is our competitive rates under a special package which covers storage, handling transportation, loading onto barges and berthing of vessels.The location of our jetty means easy accessibility to highways and the depth of water of between 4.5 – 5 metres alongside is assurance of safe navigation for flat-bottom vessels.

Convenient Customs Clearance
Customs clearance is also performed on-the-spot as the customs office is located at the jetty, with a fulltime customs officer.

Good Security
Security is assured with round-the-clock guard services by uniformed security guards reinforced by a watch tower and fenced-up compound.
